Formerly known as Belcampo Belize, the hotels offers the best in everything Belize – warm and friendly staff, luxurious accommodations, personalized service with extreme attention to detail, a phenomenal farm-to-table culinary experience, and knowledgeable on-site guides. Combine all this with its privileged location near two Mayan ruins sites, some of the best wildlife, birding, and fly fishing in all Belize, and a 3,000-acre organic farm and you’ll too understand why this is one of our favorite hotels! With all this and more, Copal Tree Lodge is the perfect retreat for couples, families, birders, divers, anglers, foodies, and all other discerning world travelers.
There are 16 private suites at Copal Tree Lodge and each comes with A/C, ceiling fans, Wi-Fi, private veranda/porch, safe, and complimentary laundry service. The Jungle Suites offer the best in hospitality, offering one king or two queen beds and spacious bathroom with floor to ceiling jungle views. The Deluxe King Suites are slightly larger than the Jungle Suites and come with an additional indoor seating area. For the ultimate pampering experience, the four 750 sq.ft. Ridge Suites have a romantic, outdoor soak tub and wrap around deck complete with sofas, chairs, and hammocks overlooking the Mayan Mountains or rainforest sunsets. By staying in a Ridge Suite, guests also have private access to a 40’ salt water infinity pool with a spacious deck, wet bar, and private butler service. For families or small groups, the Three-Bedroom Villa offers all the conveniences of home with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living area, and porch with seating. The master bedroom has a king bed with private bathroom while the two queen rooms share a bathroom. Breakfast is included with your stay.
The most difficult decision you’ll have at Copal Tree Lodge is also the most fun, deciding what to do! Make sure to spend at least one day exploring the many off-site activities including Mayan ruin sites, cave exploring, canopy zip-lining, snorkeling, scuba diving, and fly fishing. For food lovers, a Mayan market tour or a culinary spice tour are wonderful off-site activities while on-site you can experience chocolate making, coffee cupping, coffee roasting, and rum tasting! Make sure to tour the organic gardens and farm to learn how Copal Tree Lodge is helping to save Belize’s indigenous cuisine and the heirloom crops that define it by growing native crops. In turn these crops create over 70% of the produce used at Copal Tree Lodge to feed guests and employees. Using the freshest produce direct from the farm, highly skilled Chef Renee creates some of the best dishes in Belize, a country known for its love of food! When you’re not busy looking forward to your next meal or out on a tour, lounge by the pool or splurge on a spa treatment (or two) in the gorgeous Jungle Spa. At Copal Tree Lodge, with unlimited opportunities to explore and relax, you’ll be planning your next trip back before you even leave!
