  1. Day 1

Fly into the Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) where one of our local, English speaking drivers will greet you with a sign with our logo and your name as you exit the small airport.  They will take you to your waiting private, air-conditioned transfer and you’ll head inland towards the town of San Ignacio in Western Belize. You’ll spend your first three nights at the Mystic River Resort, a 12-room boutique hotel located on the banks of the Macal River. Developed, owned and operated by a North American couple, you are sure to experience personalized service, privacy, and luxury during your time at Mystic River. Each private suite features a king bed, bathroom, in-room fireplace, and a private balcony overlooking the river.

  2. Day 2

The sounds of the rainforest will awake you on your first full day in Belize!  Today, sleep in and then enjoy a multitude of on-site activities at Mystic River Resort.  You’ll have access to over 200-acres of private rainforest, miles of hiking trails, a stable for horseback riding, or easy access to the calm Macal River for tubing or canoeing.  If you need to recharge your batteries, outdoor yoga classes are available or simply pamper yourself at the Jasmine Spa.

  3. Day 3

Today you’ll visit perhaps the most largest Mayan site in Belize, Caracol.  Located deep in the Pine Ridge Mountain Reserve, Caracol wasn’t discovered until 1937 and archeological digs continue today. At its peak the city covered 200 sq. km. and was home to 100,000 people. Climb the buildings and marvel at the architecture and stalls the Mayans left behind some 1,500 years ago. After the tour, enjoy a fresh lunch and enjoy a refreshing swim in a picturesque waterfall before heading home.

  4. Day 4

Today we’ll bring you out of the rainforest and out to the Caribbean Coast where you will spend your last four nights in the popular beach town of Placencia.  Here you’ll stay at the iconic Robert’s Grove Hotel, one of the first hotels in the area and a leader in local tourism.  This beachfront hotel features three pools, three restaurants, a marina, PADI dive shop, spa, and comfortable, spacious air conditioned rooms.

  5. Day 5

Let’s go fishing!  Head out into the crystal clear Caribbean Sea for a full day of fishing with our expert local guides.  Before tourism took off in Placencia, it was a quiet fishing town so our local guides know these waters better than anyone and boast decades of experience.  Fish the various cayes and flats for bonefish, permit, tarpon and barracuda. Whether you prefer fly fishing or light tackle gear, we will provide everything you need for a great day on the water.

  6. Day 6

Belize is recognized as having some of the best snorkeling and diving in the entire world.  Home to the second longest barrier reef in the world with over 400 cayes and various marine national parks, there are no shortage of pristine spots to enjoy an incredible day under the water.  Whether you are snorkeling or diving, you’ll be sure to spot sea turtles, eels, rays, docile nurse shark, lobsters, shrimp, seahorses and hundreds of species of tropical reef fish and coral.

  7. Day 7

Today is a full day of fishing!  If you’ve gotten your fill of inshore and flats fishing then today let’s take out our big boat and head outside the reef!  Our beautiful 31’ Cape Horn will get you to the Mesoamerican Reef, located 19 miles offshore, quickly and comfortably and then you can begin trolling for marlin, sailfish, tuna, dorado, and wahoo.  When you are ready to catch something for dinner head to the reef and drop your frozen squid bait to the bottom and wait for the telltale tug from a hungry snapper or grouper.
