1. Day 1

   Fly into Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) where one of our local airport representatives will meet you before immigration holding a sign with your name on it.  Outside the airport your private transfer will be waiting to help you with your luggage.  Drive just 20-minutes outside the city up into the mountains where coffee farms dot the mountainside.  Your stay at the charming and romantic Finca Rosa Blanca is located on a 9-acre coffee farm plantation with stunning views of the Central Valley.  Sip on a glass of wine in front of a warm fire at Bar Buho Lounge before a decadent dining experience at El Tigre Vestido Restaurant, one of the top restaurants in San Jose.

2. Day 2

   Wake up refreshed with a hot cup of organic Finca Rosa Blanca coffee followed by a hearty breakfast.  The day is yours to walk Finca Rosa Blanca’s manicured gardens full of tropical flowers and budding fruits.  Sign up for a coffee tour to learn about the harvesting and roasting processes.  Follow-up the tour with a complimentary afternoon “cafecito” of coffee and freshly made pastries. If the spa tempts you, we highly recommend an aromatic, organic coffee scrub and massage.  With the aid of the chef, harvest your own produce from the organic greenhouse and learn the secrets of gourmet cooking.  End the day in the outdoor whirlpool under the stars or a more private jacuzzi experience in your room.

3. Day 3

   In the morning wander groomed paths surrounded by cloud forest in search of countless colorful birds.  Or, if chocolate is more your style, spend the morning at a cacao plantation to learn how the cacao bean is transformed into artisanal chocolate.  Of course, sampling the final product is a must!  Around midday you’ll make your way to the Nicoya Peninsula on a 40-minute domestic flight from San Jose to Tambor.  Enjoy the aerial views of rolling mountains blanketed with thick rainforest, volcanoes, and cascading waterfalls.  A private transfer will meet you at the Tambor airstrip and take you to Santa Teresa.  Check into the adult-only Latitude 10, a beachfront oasis with only five villas dotting the shoreline and tucked under tropical foliage.  Enjoy a vibrant sunset from the infinity pool in front of the beach before retreating back to your romantically candle-lit bungalow.  

4. Day 4

   Wake up to the inviting sounds of the rainforest and lapping waves.  Have a delicious breakfast and choose your evening’s dinner entree, thus ensuring only the freshest ingredients are used for every meal.  Enjoy a day of lounging by the beach or ride a bike into town to sample a local restaurant or beach bar for lunch.

5. Day 5

   Start your day with a yoga or pilates session on the 2nd-story platform overlooking the ocean followed by a healing massage.  You’ll be refreshed and rejuvenated for a day full of adventure!  Ride ATVs to the nearby Montezuma waterfalls and swim in their pools or enjoy a boat trip to the white sand beaches of Tortuga Island and snorkel around volcanic rock formations.

6. Day 6

   Free day to lounge beachside or enjoy another activity – horseback riding or a national park hike.

7. Day 7

   Fly down to the biodiverse Osa Peninsula for a unique journey to a remote corner of Costa Rica, rich with nature and wildlife experiences.  Here you’ll stay at the award winning Lapa Rios, where your open-air bungalow is perfectly perched on the side of a ridge overlooking more than 1000-acres of protected forest and Pacific Ocean.  With all your meals and on site activities included with your stay, the opportunities to veg-out or explore are endless!

8. Day 8

   Nearly every experience at Lapa Rios grants you a unique opportunity to interact with nature.  Your private outdoor shower overlooks trees that are home to hundreds of birds as well as the frequent sloth visitor.  Your walk to and from the restaurant is surrounded by thick rainforest with tropical plants and flowers.  Lounge by the pool in your free time alongside neighboring monkeys and passing toucans!  

9. Day 9

   Another day to relish in eco-luxury!  Learn all the behind the scenes work that establishes Lapa Rios as a pioneer in ecotourism through their sustainability tour.  Splurge on a massage in the palapa bungalow with the sounds of the ocean and rainforest around you.

10. Day 10

    Have you done all the on-site tours yet?!  Make sure to learn the healing powers of the rainforest through the medicinal tour.  Refresh in cool waterfall pools after an invigorating hike through the jungle.  Looking for an off-site activity?  Catch a wave during a surf lesson or get an adrenaline fix on a canopy zip-line or waterfall rappel.

11. Day 11

    Wake up to watch the sunrise and listen to the forest come alive as a final farewell.  Enjoy a hearty, fresh breakfast before your domestic flight back to San Jose for your international flight home.
