Fly into Liberia International Airport (LIR). Outside the airport you’ll find your private driver holding a sign with your name on it. He/she will help you with your luggage and take you to the popular Tamarindo beach town. Your hotel, Cala Luna, is located just outside of town, allowing for peace and serenity with easy access to all the restaurants and beach bars in Tamarindo. Every room and villa is surrounded by lush, tropical gardens and features all the modern amenities and comforts of a luxury resort. Walk from your room down to the beach for complimentary sunset cocktails as you watch the vibrant color show in the sky!
After a morning yoga flow session in the open air pavilion, spend your first full day surfing the various breaks around Tamarindo’s beaches. For beginners, sign-up for an instructional session through the hotel’s in house Surf Academy that founded by one of Cala Luna’s owners, pro surfer Federico Pilurzu. For those with surf experience, wake-up and hit the waves right away! Surfboard rentals are available right at the hotel. With numerous breaks in the area for all skill levels, there’s something for everyone no matter your experience. Once you’ve work up an appetite in the ocean, come back into La Caletta Lounge for a refreshing tropical drink and light lunch and hit the surf again! An evening yoga session will help you stretch out after a full day in the water.
Day two of yoga-surf-yoga at Cala Luna! Mix in a spa treatment at Cala Luna’s harmonious, outdoor bungalow amid lush, tropical gardens. After your evening yoga session, sign-up for a turtle watching tour to see these majestic creatures nest in Las Baulas National Marine Park. Head into town for a night out with dinner at a local restaurant and drinks at one of many beach bars.
A private transfer will take you south from the busier beach town of Tamarindo to the sleepier beach town of Nosara. Your stay at Harmony Hotel embodies the wellness experience through every aspect of the hotels’ services and amenities. Today, spend a fair chunk of your day surfing Playa Guiones. Make sure to catch some of the sunset breaks for a gorgeous, vibrant backdrop with glassy waves! If your skin is feeling a little rough from all the salt and sun, splurge on a Papaya Delight exfoliation or a Banana Bliss treatment in Harmony’s Healing Centre and Spa using all natural treatments.
If you need a break from the surf, sign up for a canopy zip-line or coffee tour. For those looking for a day to completely unplug, lounge by the pool with a tropical drink in hand!
Enjoy gorgeous aerial views as you fly from the Nicoya Peninsula down to The Osa Peninsula, one of the most biodiverse places on the planet! You’ll stay on the outskirts of Corcovado National Park at the famous Lapa Rios, a unique eco-lodge that offers rare opportunities to interact with nature at every turn! In addition to some of the best wildlife viewing in Costa Rica, you’ll have access to year around waves and a massage hut with yoga platform that offers Hatha Yoga and Chi Kung. Check into your open-air bungalow, which is perched on a ridge overlooking 1000-acres of rainforest and Pacific Ocean. All your meals and on-site activities are included with your stay. Tonight, partake in a guided nocturnal walk to see some of the jungle’s night creatures!
Wake up before the sunrise for an early-morning birdwatching tour or, after breakfast, one of many nature hikes. Then, hit the waves or hang by the pool with neighboring monkeys, toucans, and sloths.
