1. Day 1

   Fly into Tocumen International Airport (PTY) where one of our local airport representatives will meet you as you exit your plane and guide you through an expedited immigration process.  They will show you to the VIP Lounge where you can enjoy snacks and drinks while they collect your luggage for you.  Once you are ready, the airport representative will guide you to your private transfer waiting outside the airport.  You’ll transfer just 30-minutes to the upscale El Cangrejo neighborhood for your stay at TRYP.  TRYP is conveniently located within walking distance or a short taxi ride to a number of restaurants, bars, shops, and nightlife as well as Panama City’s nature and historical tours.  If you’ve arrived to Panama early enough in the afternoon, enjoy a half-day guided tour of the Panama Canal at Miraflores Locks Visitor Center and/or the Biodiversity Museum.

2. Day 2

   After a buffet breakfast at TRYP, enjoy a guided historical tour of two UNESCO World Heritage Sites within Panama City.  The first site, Panama Viejo, was founded in 1519 as the first permanent European settlement on the Pacific Ocean.  You’ll learn about Panama Viejo’s history with earthquakes, fires, and pirates while walking around its ruins.  You’ll then continue to Casco Viejo, which was settled in 1673 after Panama Viejo’s destruction by pirate Henry Morgan.  Walk Casco Viejo’s cobblestone streets lined with restored colonial building filled with cafes, shops, and restaurants.  Have lunch at one of the many delicious restaurants in Casco Viejo or stop at the Seafood Market just outside Casco Viejo for some of the best seafood (try the ceviche!).  Return to TRYP in the early afternoon to freshen up for your transfer to Albrook Airport.  Enjoy an hour flight to David located in Western Panama.  A private transfer will meet you at David Airport to take you one hour up into the mountains for your stay in Boquete.  You’ll stay at Riverside Inn located just outside of town, offering the perfect mix of tranquility and easy access to restaurants.  Enjoy a delicious dinner next door at one of Boquete’s top-rated restaurants, The Rock.

3. Day 3

   Enjoy a relaxing breakfast as you dine alongside the Caldera River at The Rock restaurant.  After breakfast embark on a waterfall adventure to three different waterfalls on a moderate-to-challenging nature hike.  After working up a sweat on the hike, cool off with a swim in one of the waterfall pools before returning to Riverside Inn to freshen up before lunch in town.  Spend the afternoon exploring town or enjoy a coffee tour to learn how the world’s finest coffee is produced, from berry to bean to cup.  Have dinner this evening in town and return to Riverside’s cozy living area complete with movie room, bar, and fireplace.

4. Day 4

   Enjoy another leisurely breakfast overlooking the Caldera River at the The Rock.  Today you’ll spend the morning and early afternoon within the cloud forest canopy at Boquete Tree Trek.  Start the tour with a guided nature hike over 8 hanging suspension bridges for a bird’s eye view of the canopy.  Pick up the pace as you soar through the cloud forest canopy on 12 adventure ziplines.  Enjoy a delicious lunch onsite at Restaurante Rio Cristal before returning to Riverside Inn.  Lounge around the inn’s gardens or living areas before your final dinner at the historic and top-rated Panamonte Restaurant.

5. Day 5

   After your final breakfast at The Rock, a private transfer will take you on a short drive (2 hours) to Boca Chica.  Feel free to stop at any point for photo opportunities, restrooms, lunch, or to simply stretch your legs.  Once you’ve arrived to Boca Chica, you’ll check into the lovely Seagull Cove Lodge, a family-run hotel with only five rooms overlooking the Pacific Ocean.  Check into your room and then walk down to the palapa Tiki Bar located on their ocean pier.  The Tiki Bar is a popular spot to mingle with other guests as well as locals while enjoying happy hour specials and occasional BBQ dinner outings.

6. Day 6

   After an ocean view breakfast, you’ll enjoy a full day of island exploration within the Gulf of Chiriqui.  Explore uninhabited white sand islands surrounded by crystal clear waters.  Snorkel off these islands’ sandy shores and enjoy fresh coconuts and a picnic lunch.  Keep a watchful eye out for dolphins, sea turtles and whales (July – October) as you cruise from island to island.  Return to Seagull Cove Resort in time for happy hour cocktails while enjoying a beautiful sunset.

7. Day 7

   Enjoy your last full day in Panama relaxing around the hotel.  Lounge by the pool, splurge on a massage treatment, or kayak the calm Pacific waters in front of the hotel.  Other half-day activities include horseback riding, a mangrove boat tour, a sunset cruise or a seaplane aerial tour.  Have another delicious dinner at Seagull Cove this evening or switch it up and dine at the neighboring Bocas del Mar Hotel.

8. Day 8

   A private transfer will take you back to David Airport.  Enjoy a one hour domestic flight back to Panama City for your international flight home.
