Fly into Tocumen International Airport (PTY) where one of our local airport representatives will meet you as you exit your plane before immigration. They will guide you through the immigration process and take you to the VIP Lounge. Relax with a cold drink or cocktail and free Wi-Fi in the VIP Lounge while the airport representative collects your luggage. When you are ready, they will guide you to your waiting private transfer for your short 30-minute transfer into downtown Panama City. You’ll spend your first three nights at the TRYP Panama Centro, a centrally located, 4-star accommodation with easy access to restaurants, shopping, and nightlife.
Spend this day becoming better acquainted with the sights, sounds, and history of Panama City. Your private guided tour will show you the history of Panama dating back to the first Spanish forts in the 1500s and the UNESCO World Heritage site of Casco Viejo. After lunch, you’ll end your tour at the most famous site in the country, the Panama Canal. Explore the Miraflores Locks Visitor Center to see gigantic Panamax tankers passing through the locks while learning about the incredible history and engineering of this modern marvel.
Let’s go fishing! You’ll be picked up early in the morning for a private, full day of fishing on the Panama Canal itself. At nearly 200 sq. miles Lake Gatun is one of the largest manmade lakes in the world and was formed during the construction of the Panama Canal in 1913. Whether you prefer spinning reels, bait casters, or a fly rod you’ll have no shortage of habitat to find the hungry peacock bass waiting for you. Other species you can catch fishing in the Panama Canal include rainbow bass, tropical bluegill, snook, and the occasional tarpon. Keep your eyes peeled for monkeys in the trees and huge 965 ft. long Panamax tankers making their way through the Canal!
Sleep in and enjoy a buffet breakfast for a relaxed, leisurely morning at TRYP. You’ll be picked up in the late morning for a private transfer to the small coastal town of Quebrada de Piedra in Western Panama. Here, you’ll find the spectacular Paradise Fishing Lodge, arguably the best all inclusive fishing lodge in Panama. Featuring just nine air conditioned rooms, a pool with swim up bar, delicious food and bottomless drinks most anglers agree they couldn’t have picked a better name!
Let’s go fishing! The fish are waiting for you at famous offshore destinations like the Hannibal Bank, Montuosa Island, and Isla Coiba. The Paradise Fishing Lodge boasts a private marina and a fleet of 28’ and 32’ Contender center consoles with 360 degree fishability for multiple anglers, the perfect boats to get you to the fishing grounds quickly and comfortably. Private charters allow you to focus on the species and type of fishing you prefer
Full day of fishing! Troll for giant marlin and sailfish at the Hannibal Bank, cast poppers into schools of feeding yellowfin tuna, or find structure like a floating tree or trash line and try to catch a dorado or wahoo for dinner.
Full day of fishing! If you’ve already scratched the pelagic species off your bucket list then you definitely need to test your skills with the multitude of inshore species found in Panama. Catch various species of snapper, grouper, jacks, amberjack, mackerel, barracuda, and see if you can land a prized roosterfish and cubera snapper.
