Day 1
Fly into Tocumen International Airport (PTY) where one of our local airport representatives will meet you as you exit your plane and guide you through an expedited immigration process. They will show you to the VIP Lounge where you can enjoy snacks and drinks while they collect your luggage for you. Once you are ready, the airport representative will guide you to your private transfer waiting outside the airport. On your way from the PTY Airport to your hotel, stop at one or both of Panama City’s popular UNESCO World Heritage Sites for a short historical tour of Panama Viejo and/or Casco Viejo. Check into the 200-year-old Los Cuatro Tulipanes located in a quieter sector of the trendy Casco Viejo neighborhood. Spend the rest of the afternoon and evening walking along Casco Viejo’s cobblestone streets to explore cafes, restaurants, and rooftop bars.

Day 2
After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of The Panama Canal at Miraflores Locks Visitor Center. Here you’ll learn about the engineering feats and construction of the canal while watching ships pass through the Miraflores Locks. Continue to Albrook Airport for your domestic flight from Panama City over to Bocas del Toro. Casa Cayuco will be waiting for you at the Bocas del Toro Airport for your 45-minute boat ride over to Isla Bastimentos. Check into your room and then head to their overwater “living room” dock to sip on a cold beverage while taking in the Caribbean views. Slip into the turquoise Caribbean Sea to unwind from a day of travel. Your stay at Casa Cayuco is all-inclusive, featuring fresh catch-of-the-day dishes served “family style” on communal tables to socialize with other island guests (alcoholic drinks served during dinner).

Day 3
Spend a full day exploring the beaches and Caribbean waters that surround Casa Cayuco. SUP board, kayak, and snorkel along the calm waters of Isla Bastimentos or simply relax along the white sandy beach with a cold beverage in hand.

Day 4
Sign-up for an excursion on the island or enjoy an off-island activity. For off-island tours, a short boat ride will bring you to two uninhabited islands within Zapatillas National Marine Park with turquoise water and coral reef perfect for snorkeling. Or take a break from the water and enjoy an organic chocolate farm tour at Green Acres Chocolate Farm. On this guided chocolate journey, you’ll tour the farm to see how the cacao fruit is processed into chocolate delicacies (samples included!). Other nearby adventure activities include surfing, zip-lining, and scuba diving. Stick around Isla Bastimentos on one of three guided hikes – Caiman Trail, Pelicano Trail, or Playa Larga Trail. Caiman Trail is a short one-hour hike to Salt Creek Tourist Center to see the local flora and fauna, including caiman, red frogs, monkeys, sloths, and various bird species. Pelicano is a longer 3-to-4-hour hike to the gorgeous Pelicano Beach for a picturesque Caribbean beach picnic. Finally, Playa Larga Trail is an all-day hike to the 3-mile Playa Larga beach where sea turtles nest from April through September. It’s a wonderful hike to see a mix of wildlife, waterfalls, and beach.

Day 5
After breakfast Casa Cayuco will take you back to Isla Colon for your domestic flight from Bocas del Toro to David (possible layover in Panama City). A private transfer will be waiting for you at David Airport for a short 1-hour drive to Boca Chica on the Gulf of Chiriqui. Isla Palenque will greet you upon arrival to Boca Chica for a quick boat ride over to their 400-acre private island paradise. Wander around the property with a tropical drink in hand and explore the beaches, pool, and hiking trails. Enjoy a candlelit dinner with fresh catch-of-the-day seafood expertly prepared by the gourmet chef and then slink back to your beachfront casita

Day 6
After a poolside breakfast with Pacific Ocean views, spend the day boating or sailing around beautiful islands within the Gulf of Chiriqui. Choose between Isla Bolanos, Isla Gamez, Playa Grande or Islas Secas. As you boat to these white sandy islands, keep your eyes open for dolphins, whales, and sea turtles. Pull ashore and enjoy a picnic lunch, beer, and cocktails and then spend the afternoon lounging and snorkeling. Return to Isla Palenque in time to watch the sunset during happy hour. Enjoy another gourmet meal under a star filled sky.

Day 7
Enjoy your last full day in Panama relaxing at Isla Palenque. Swim in the calm bay waters or grab a kayak or SUP, or if you feel like being lazy just lounge alongside the infinity pool. If you prefer a half-day activity, choose between a sunset sailing cruise, horseback riding, inshore or offshore fishing, hiking to scenic lookout points, an indigenous community tour, or a mangrove boat tour.

Day 8
Your private transfer will take you back to David airstrip (1 hour) for your domestic flight to Panama City. Fly home from Tocumen International Airport (PTY).
